Islands

Islands are what make up the Canadian frontier of Northwind, being comprised of the five islands available to the player ingame. The islands are roughly split into a southern, more temperate region, and a colder northern climate. The southernmost islands are for new to moderately experienced players, with the northern, snowy islands being more suited to more experienced and expert players that are mre prepared to handle the harsh weather and environment.

Each island is made up of geographic areas, which include the various geographic features, such as plains, mountains, and caves, as well as settlements owned by both Colonist and Native groups.
