Geographic areas are locations designated by an island's map. They are marked by name and refer to specific geographies, such as plains, mountains, caves, coastlines, islands, and more, and often contain various resources. Geographic areas are not to be confused with Locations, which are found within these areas and are often named buildings, such as Paradise Planks or Compagnie de Chasse.
In place of geographic areas, areas named for Native, Colonist, or Saint Lawrence Company settlements or locations are classified under their respective Settlements, such as New Bordeaux.
