The Brown Bess musket is a Hudson Bay Company exclusive musket that only members of the Company can purchase or claim using their company's budget, from the HBC quartermaster for 25.00 pounds. The Brown Bess musket deals 60 damage per bodyshot and 72 to the head.
You can also attach a bayonet (by holding F) to the end of it to act as a melee weapon in combat, which deals 35 damage per bayonet swing. Colonist/Natives can still achieve the Brown Bess Musket either by looting it off a Hudson Bay Company member or if an HBC trades it to a Colonist/Natives for pounds or items, which is against the HBC rules.
The Brown Bess Musket is used by Hudson Bay Company only, but the musket is used for hunting animals and killing hostiles in battle or for bounty rewards

The Brown Bess musket can be crafted as an HBC (Hudson Bay Company) member for 3 logs and 3 ingots.
Trivia
- For a short time during v120, the Brown Bess was able to be bought in game by anyone (excluding natives) through the illegal trader in Eskimo Point's cave. The trade has since been removed.
